Sandfix is used as binder for single-size and multi-size dry sands and sets without addition of water. Even small amounts of about 2 to 4% of Sandfix are sufficient for good stability improvements.

It is also possible to process Sandfix at relatively low temperatures. Curing takes place with atmospheric oxygen alone. During setting, the mortar made up with Sandfix must not come into contact with water, but soluble mortars can be mixed with pigments such as iron oxide to circumvent this effect.

Because of its fluid consistency Sandfix is the ideal building material for an environmentally friendly landscaping process. The main advantage of using Sandfix to stabilize pathways and sandy places is that the areas are not sealed. Although it prevents the growth of weeds, Sandfix is permeable to water and oxygen. This means that the natural soil underneath does not die but continues to stay biologically active.
