Zinc-dibutyl-dithiocarbamate with elastomer binder and dispersing agents.
Isogran® ZDBC-80 causes very rapid vulcanization of natural and synthetic rubbers, e.g. SBR, NBR and EPDM. The addition of Thiuram and Thiazole accelerators can retard the curing rate increase processing safety. Isogran® ZDBC-80 has a shorter scorch time and a slower total curing time than Isogran® ZDEC-80, Isogran® ZEPC-80 and Isogran® ZDMC-80. Basic accelerators have an activating effect on Isogran® ZDBC-80.
Isogran® ZDBC-80 is also used in small amounts for secondary acceleration and activation of mixes, which are going to be cured with Mercapto or Thiuram accelerators. Isogran® ZDBC-80 gives the vulcanizates very good tensile and resilience properties. It is recommended to add antioxidants to improve resistance to ageing especially of NR and IR.
