The isocyanate groups liberated at temperatures higher than 150 °C react with various chemical groups (e. g. OH-groups).
The product is mainly used in form of an aqueous dispersion for the treatment of tyre cord and reinforcing fabric (see TDS Kagebond® DM-50). It is also used as the crosslinking agent in heat-activatable, one-component polyurethane systems.
